Nasty Gal is an online shop that started out as an e-bay store in 2006 selling vintage pieces scrounged, found and hunted down by shop owner Sophia Amoruso. The shop first took place from her Seattle apartment where she would keep her stock, write the product copy and shoot the garments herself. Eventually she began asking friends for help, who are now current employees of the shop which still to this day sells one off vintage pieces alongside their own label and pieces found in showrooms, random shops and in the nooks and crannies of their style world.
The brand name was inspired by Betty Davis' song and album "Nasty Gal" for her badass style and damn right sexiness which embodies everything feminine. Below are just a couple of the things I've been pining for since discovering the site:
