Trend Stop: Country Warmers

From Left to Right:
Wool Hat / H&M
Mixed Fur Coat / Revillon
Cropped Fisherman's Knit / Alexander Wang
Over knee Socks / H&M
Missouri Python Loafers / Rupert Sanderson
Alpaca Wool Cable Knit Jumper / Suno
Tile Print Cravat / Topshop
Wool Jacket / Maison Martin Margiela for H&M
Premium Geo Tweed Trousers / Topshop

It's hot to be in the countryside this year, with farmer chic and country cool I thought what a better way to enjoy the countryside wrapped up in some of this year's finest country geared clothing. Above is a list I've compiled of all the things I would like to pack in my suitcase should I leave the big smoke for a country break. Of course there's the wellies for those country walks through mud, fields and lets face it, cow patt. The big coat to keep me warm from the howling winds through the valley, and of course a cravat for the eccentric country dandy in me to team up over some cosy knits for when I'm chilling by the log fire place sipping on Mulled Wine. So go on, enjoy, we could all do with a bit of nature in our lives from time to time.

I feel like I'm actually going. *Dreaming*

Grunge is Back In Town

Alternative rock subculture Grunge is paying us another visit. As a trend that emerged in the mid-80s and lasted until the mid-90s, later becoming the heroin chic phenomena, is a trend fronted by the likes of Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love. We all know the look: unbrushed hair, ripped tights and phenomenally cool.

Both a music style as well as a fashion style we here at Dolls and Pop are interested in the fashion - of course we are. So all those grunge kids who thought they'd missed their hey-day of the 90s it's tim eto come out and play, rub your heavily eye-lined eyes, smudge your lipstick and rip your tight it's time for your weird selves to shine, your sultry pouts to pucker up and your ripped tights to hail no more abuse. They're meant to be like that, duh!

So we’ve put together a want list to satisfy some, not all, of our Grunge needs.

From Left to Right:
Cigarette Dye Trousers / Topshop
Check Blazer / Topshop
Boy in Mask Print Tee by JW Anderson / Topshop
Knit Jumper / Topshop
Rainbow knit jumper / Topshop
Rainbow Hologram Tee-Shirt / ASOS
Outfit / Ashish

It seems from this list, that I would like a lot of things from Topshop.
Going to have to learn to shop around more, sorry.
